Overview

Life in UK 2026 ("the App") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights. It applies to both our website and iOS app.

What We Collect

Data stored on your device

All your study progress, test history, settings, and preferences are stored locally on your device. We do not have access to this data.

• Your quiz results and scores
• Study progress and preferences
• Streak and daily goal tracking

This data stays on your device unless you choose to sync it via iCloud (see below).

Data synced via iCloud (optional)

If you sign in with your Apple ID, your progress syncs across your devices via Apple's iCloud service. We cannot access your iCloud data. Apple encrypts it and only you can see it.

Analytics (anonymous)

We use TelemetryDeck to understand how the app is used. This collects anonymous usage events (such as "quiz completed") with no personal identifiers. No name, email, device ID, or IP address is collected or stored by us. TelemetryDeck processes data in the EU (Germany).

Advertising

The free version of the app shows ads provided by Google AdMob. If you allow tracking when prompted, AdMob may use your device's advertising identifier to show personalised ads. If you decline, only non-personalised ads are shown. Premium subscribers see no ads.

Crash reports

Anonymous crash and performance data may be collected by Apple's MetricKit framework to help us fix bugs. This contains no personal information.

What We Do NOT Collect

• Your name, email address, or phone number
• Your location
• Your contacts
• Your browsing history
• Your Apple ID or any login credentials

Your Rights

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:

• Access your data — all data is visible in the app
• Delete your data — Settings → Reset Progress, or uninstall the app
• Object to processing — deny tracking, disable notifications
• Restrict processing — use the app without signing in

Children's Privacy

This app is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Third-Party Services

Data Retention

• App data: stored until you delete it or uninstall the app
• Analytics: retained for 90 days by TelemetryDeck
• Ad data: per Google's retention policy
